SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT UM WIC 2021

Name: Soo Nee Kee Matric Number: U2005403/1 Date: 29 April 2021 Venue: WhatsApp Today is a public holiday, so we do not have class. Yesterday, Dr. Por reminded us in the WhatsApp Group to update our blog to the 9th week.  He also reminded us to sign attendance. In addition, he wanted us to continue the project and update the status to him.  This week, the publicity department does not have work. Thus, we continue to promote  our competition on Instagram. I hope we can get enough groups of participants before the registration deadline.

Name: Soo Nee Kee Matric Number: U2005403/1 Date: 22 April 2021 Venue: WhatsApp This is the seventh week of Social Engagement (GIG1005)  and we did not have class this morning. This week, we had designed the posters and uploaded them to Instagram to promote this competition. Besides, I had created the Google Form, and the invitation email had been sent to all the students of the University of Malaya. Currently, we have 5 groups of participants only. Thus, we have to work hard and promote this competition so that more people can know about this competition.

Name: Soo Nee Kee Matric Number: U2005403/1 Date: 15 April 2021 Time: 9:00am - 11:00am Venue: Google Meet Today, Dr.Por discussed the project update with us. Our proposal had been approved by the faculty administrator and I felt very happy! Moreover, Dr.Por instructed us to create a peer assessment evaluation form and this evaluation is about 10% out of 100% for our final score. Besides, Dr.Por showed us the final marks of the first assessment of the blog. He also reminded us that we need to complete all blog posts for 6 weeks before April 15, 2021. After the meeting, all the committee leaders stayed in the meeting and had a short discussion with Dr on the project. Finally, we had posted some posters and the registration link on our Instagram page, and hope that we can receive a warm response.

Our advisor, Dr.Por instructed us to discuss and plan our project. We discussed the tasks that should be done and listed them in the Google Sheet. In addition, we also created WhatsApp groups for each department. In the Whatsapp group, we discussed the details of the project, such as registration deadlines and how many posters we should design. Name: Soo Nee Kee Matric Number: U2005403/1 Date: 1 April 2021 Time: 9:00am - 11:00am Venue: Google Meet      As usual, we attended the class at 9am. Our president, Muhamad Adam Bin Mohd Zahir presented the proposal to Dr.Por. Then, Dr.Por suggested that we should involve all the students in our committee. Besides, he suggested that we can add some departments like the Judging Committee and others. We are required to record the entire preparation process and make a video for it.  For the competition, we as committees can choose to participate or not participate.       After the class, we had a short discussion on Google Meet and decided to add three departments which are the Judging Committee, Public Relation Committee, and Multimedia Committee. We also created a Google Sheet to let all the students choose their desire department.  .

Our advisor, Dr.Por instructed the group leaders to choose a position each. There are five positions, namely president, vice president, secretary, deputy secretary, and treasurer. Our group leader, Pei Rou chose treasurer. After that, Dr. Por introduced us to the details of our project, which is the video competition. He said that the top three videos will be uploaded to social media. Most importantly, we all will receive monetary rewards. Thus, we hope Dr.Por is able to find some sponsors and his proposal can be approved.

Name: Soo Nee Kee Matric Number: U2005403/1 Date: 18 March 2021 Time: 9:00am - 11:00am Venue: Google Meet After the class, we proceed with our discussion on Google Meet. Our advisor, Dr. Por Lip Yee gives us a task which is to create a video to raise public awareness about the covid-19 pandemic. Project Name: Covid-19 Awareness Video Competition Video Duration: 3-5 minutes Target Group: 50 students We discuss the contents that we should put in the slides and video. We all also decide that Pei Rou, Jia Yee, Jian Ming, and I will be responsible for the production of the video, while the others will be responsible for the preparation of the content and the slides.
